I just wanted to send you a small thank you for the help you’ve given me in the past weeks. On Saurday June 8, I was able to join 19,999 other runners and walkers in completing the Bellin 10K race in Green Bay. While I don’t run (ever!), and I certainly didn’t break any land speed records, I finished in less than 2 hours. I was happy-very happy- with that! Walking that distance- or any distance- would have been impossible three years ago. It would have been excruciating. I believe i was able to do this because of the help I’m receiving from you. You are making a difference in my life- in the comfort levels I’m achieving and things I’m able to do. I don’t understand the 'hows and whys' of acupuncture, but I’m grateful each day for your knowledge, skills, care, and compassion. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! You’re making my life much easier!"

"I’ve had hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating) since high school and also have tenitis in my shoulders. The dermatologist checked my hormone levels, thought it was hot flashes but the pills didn’t do anything. I was sick of taking medication after medication and afraid of the side effects. One medication dried up everything including my nose and mouth, and it was very expensive. I didn’t want to have surgery to minimize the sweating. Acupuncture was really my last result; my husband also gets acupuncture done. Mike is very open, he told me “I can’t guarantee sweating will go away, do you want to continue?” A lot of people come to the clinic and Mike is doing something, so you might as well give it a try and you never know if it could work for you too!"
"I started getting acupuncture because of a medical trauma- I had a collapsed lung with 3 surgeries, and I have chronic and shooting pain from a cut nerve which occurred in the first surgery. It has now healed but has attached to scar tissue. I still take a nerve pill 3 times a day and was taking narcotic pain killers 3 times a day for 6 months. I now use an ice pack or Aleve for pain as needed. I started acupuncture in August and have had 25% improvement since the initial intake. Because of my injuries, I missed 8 months of karate with my kids, but now I am going back to classes at nearly full capacity. I was willing to try anything for pain, and this has helped immensely, and I’m thankful for that."
"I had surgery on my left hip a year and a half ago, but it didn’t adhere to the bone. After the surgery I did physical therapy. My daughter recommended acupuncture. I’ve had good results- I learned a lot about what not to heat and health in general. The staff is wonderful, I trust them and it has been a good learning experience. Tammy knows what she is talking about and everyone is very efficient. People will ask me about my experience with acupuncture and I love telling them about it. For regular shots I have to look away, but for the acupuncture needles I come in here with total trust. Acupuncture is working great, but more importantly I ‘m learning so many things about food, what to eat and really how to be healthy."
"I’ve had a bulged disk in my back for a year and a half. I’ve tried other treatments- I had steroid shots for $2,000/each which is way too expensive, muscle relaxers didn’t do anything for my pain and the chiropractor didn’t work because I don’t really believe in it. Figured I’d give acupuncture a try, and I like it! I don’t know how they figure out where to put the needles but it works. My pain goes away, but if the next treatment is far away I soak in the tub or use ice. I’m getting much better I can tell that for sure. I would absolutely recommend acupuncture to others- if you’ve got a problem and nobody else can fix it, give acupuncture a shot with an open mind. It can work for you too!"
"I’ve had headaches for as long as I can remember. This spring I started to have back pain, also I suffer from shoulder pain. Sometimes I feel like a wreck, I was getting so frustrated because it seems like nothing helps. Years ago I saw a specialist in Madison for migraines who used a huge needle, I’ve been to umpteen doctors, been on all kinds of meds, and saw a chiropractor who actually recommended that I try acupuncture for my arthritis pain. My whole outlook has helped, I feel so much better now than before when I was dragging through the days. Acupuncture is nothing to be afraid of, can’t even feel the needles being put in and the process is very relaxing. I feel like myself again and have definitely been taking fewer medications for pain."
"Nine years ago I was in an accident that caused nerve damage, whiplash, and soft tissue damage. Once upon a time I couldn’t even put any weight on my left leg- everything got worse and worse. Before the accident, I used to walk an hour everyday but it got to the point that I couldn’t even walk to the mailbox. I tried cortisone steroid shots, prescription pain killers, naproxen patch, a physiologist, an orthopedic surgeon, a pain management clinic, regular doctor and a chiropractor; I sometimes used to have a cane or wheelchair. In the past year I’ve been coming to East Wind, I’m 50% better and I’m so thankful. I didn’t know if acupuncture would hurt but compared to before I was in so much pain I couldn’t stand it. Recently, I went to a wedding in Arizona, there is no way I would have been able to do that a year ago before I started getting treatments. I just know I feel so much better and can do so much more."
"I have trigenalaga, inflamed nerves, for several years but in the past few months I’ve had excruciating pain in my face. Medical doctors have proscribed medication, but it’s not a lot of relief for me. Acupuncture took a while to take, but it has settled down and now I’m pain free, I just need a couple more treatments to make sure it stays down. East Wind is great- Tammy is a sweetheart and Pam is so kind. I would recommend acupuncture definitely because it worked for me."
"I have had chronic Lyme’s Disease for 3.5 years. My chiropractor, Dr. Mress, recommended that I try acupuncture as well to help with my symptoms. Since I started acupuncture, I’m no longer on anti-biotics for the first time in 4 years- I know I’m getting better. This summer, I missed 6 weeks of treatments for spending time with my son and I went downhill from not seeing Mike. Acupuncture helps manage my Lyme symptoms even though I’m getting better especially as the seasons change. I know this is a slow process sometimes because he has been working on my back pain for a long time. Mike has helped tremendously because he is very intuitive, he just knows. If I’ve had a tough week he knows where to put the needles and by tomorrow I’ll feel totally better. Mike cares about you as a person and wants to make sure you are comfortable, relaxing is the key."
"I have had lower back pain and migraines on and off for decades, recently I had a flare up. In my 30s I had severe back pain and the doctors said it was degenerative arthritis so I walked with a cane. I was taking a muscle relaxant three times a day for migraines but it wasn’t helping. A friend of mine suggested acupuncture and I was desperate enough to do it. After 4 treatments I threw away the cane. The pain is moderately better, my back isn’t spasming anymore like it did when I was taking the muscle relaxers, but my back is still stiff. My energy level has increased, after the first treatment I could feel a surge of increased energy. Now I have enough energy to deal with stress at work. I come from an academic background; initially I came into desperation, analytical and skeptical, and for me to see dramatic change I can’t dismiss. Unlike Western medicine, acupuncture is not merely treating symptoms; it helps give the body an opportunity to rebuild itself. It gets my body re-aligned again. I don’t want a pill to mask the pain but the injury is still there- acupuncture is actually healing the problem."
"I have had over 50 acupuncture treatments at East Wind Acupuncture for my back pain, which I’ve had since I was a child from car accidents. Before I was in pain every single day, just sitting in a chair and when in pain it’s very miserable. I’ve seen the chiropractor for my back quite often but didn’t always see results and I know it didn’t help solve the issues. My mom actually referred me to the clinic; she is a patient too and has had a lot of success. Acupuncture is the best thing I have ever done for my back; the low back pain by my tailbone spot that has always bothered me was completely gone within 6-7 months. I saw results pretty darn fast and I could feel the pain pretty much go away. In my opinion, acupuncture doesn’t just take away or hide your pain but actually resolves and solves issues. I know I’ll be getting treatments the rest of my life but I know it is well worth it because it works. For me acupuncture totally changed my life and I would suggest it to anyone with illness or pain because it helps you live a better life. I feel like I have my life back and I would highly recommend acupuncture."
